New York meets Paris in this delightful programme of French and American masterworks. Audience favourite Jeffrey Kahane is joined by dazzling flutist Emmanuel Pahud in his TSO debut, performing Ibert's virtuosic Concerto. Milhaud's La Création du monde is one of the wittiest jazz-inspired masterpieces of the Twentieth Century, and surely no work has been more successful in so many venues than Gershwin's An American in Paris, from concert hall to Hollywood movie.
