Community Crime Awareness Day 2005
Four years ago, a number of business and community organizations along with local citizens teamed up, with support from Peel Regional Police, to launch an event which would bring awareness of community safety and policing issues in the region. Now in its 5th successful year, this year’s Community Crime Awareness Day will take place on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at Mississauga City Hall.
Especially now, more than ever, we as leaders in our field and members of the community have a pivotal role to play in crime awareness in our region. We need to advise and inform local residents of the many programs and policing activities offered by Peel Regional Police, so together, we can nurture an understanding of each other and build an awareness of safety with-in our communities and the entire region. After positive response on last year’s theme and the need for continued awareness on child safety, this year’s theme will focus on child and youth safety.
We invite you to explore opportunities where we can work together to make this community event a success. Such success will only come with your support and we look forward to your participation in this worthwhile endeavour. Attached is the poster for this event. We look forward to other meaningful suggestions from you.
We thank you in advance for your continued support in making the region of Peel a safer community to work, live and play.
