Since 1999, the annual Phoenix Ball has become one of Mississauga’s most prestigious fundraising events contributed over $1,000,000 to local charities. As always, the Phoenix Ball will bring together a distinguished audience of over 700 professionals, business elites, entrepreneurs and political leaders for an evening of fine cuisine, spectacular entertainment, live/silent auctions and networking opportunities. This year, our gala will be raising funds for The Credit Valley Hospital, the Trillium Health Centre, and the Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care in Mississauga. The theme of this year's gala is "Celebrating Mississauga's Healthcare Success" and we hope you can join us at the Phoenix Ball.

The 10th Annual CPB Badminton Open was held this year at University of Toronto Mississauga. Approximately 250 badminton players came out to participate in the two-day event, making it the largest tournament hosted by the CPB to date. Special thanks to Black Knight for being the tournament’s Title sponsor as well as Badminton Birds (Gold), Panago Pizza (Gold), Lemongrass (Gold), Wilson Trophy (Silver), Petro-Canada (Bronze)and In Touch Wireless (Bronze) for their generous support. Also thanks to all of the volunteers for their exceptional commitment in giving their time and effort to one of the most anticipated sports events in our community.

"Family Health and Resilience" was the theme for this year's Healthy Living Expo at Yee Hong Geriatic Centre Mississauga. The Healthy Living Expo 2011 was co-hosted by the Mississauga Board of Chinese Professionals and Businesses (CPB), Credit Valley Hospital and The Mississauga News. Amgen Canada was the title sponsor of this event. Over 30 exhibitors were presented to showcase information, products and service. Over 9 seminars were presented in English and/or Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese).
